As a Health Information Technician, you apply your interest in health care and medical issues to maintain, organize, and provide medical information. You also work closely with doctors and other health care professionals to ensure accuracy, clarify diagnoses, and obtain any additional information required for a patient’s file.

In this program, you will:

  • Learn coding and classification systems, reimbursement methodologies, information management, and information technology.
  • Learn and develop the knowledge and skills essential to the maintaining, organizing, and providing medical information through class work and internship experience.
  • Be eligible to take the RHIT national certification examination upon successful completion of our accredited program.
