Royal Oak, MI – Baker College announces its partnership with DAPCEP to host three innovative STEM-focused summer camps, designed to inspire and challenge middle school students. These week-long camps will take place from June 23-27, 2025, at the Baker College Royal Oak Campus located at 420 S. Lafayette Ave., Royal Oak, MI 48067 and will immerse students in hands-on experiences in biology, robotics, and game development.
With a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, each camp will feature small class sizes (25 students per camp) and expert instruction, providing an unparalleled opportunity for young learners to explore STEM in an engaging and supportive environment.
“Our Summer STEM Camps are all about interactive, hands-on learning. Students get to dive into real-world projects using college-level facilities like high-tech labs, robotics kits, and gaming software,” said LaTasha Ellis, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Business Programs. “Beyond academics, it’s about having fun, making friends, and building skills that open doors to exciting STEM careers.”
Students can choose their STEM Adventure:
Biology Science Camp: From Cells to Animals
Dive into genetics, ecosystems, and biomedical science through lab experiments, team challenges, and a science fair showcase.
Critical Thinking with LEGOs: FIRST Robotics
Build and program robots using LEGO Spike Prime kits while solving engineering challenges and preparing for future STEM careers.
GameCrafters: From Idea to Market
Design, code, and market your own playable game prototype—perfect for future tech entrepreneurs and game designers.
Registration is now open for all three camps: Biology, Legos, Game Crafters
